Surface-mount technology (SMT) is a method for producing electronic circuits in which the
components are mounted or placed directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards (PCBs). An electronic
device so made is called a surface-mount device (SMD).
A Conformal coating is a protective chemical coating or polymer film 25-75um thick (S50um
typical) that ‘conforms’ to the circuit board topology. Its purpose is to protect electronic circuits from
harsh environments that may contain moisture and or chemical contaminants.
In-circuit test (ICT) is an example of white box testing where an electrical probe tests a populated
printed circuit board (PCB), checking for shorts, opens, resistance, capacitance, and other basic
quantities which will show whether the assembly was correctly fabricated.
Burn-in is the process by which components of a system are exercised prior to being placed in
service. If the burn-in period is made sufficiently long the system can then be trusted to be mostly free
of further early failures once the burn-in process is complete.
An environmental chamber, also called a climatic chamber or climate chamber, is an enclosure
used to test the effects of specified environmental conditions on electronic devices and components.
Orbittal offers a suite of PCB repair & rework services in a fully controlled ESD compliant facility,
working to workmanship standards, and our skilled workforce is trained with continuous dedication
and hard work.
20X Zoom Camera enables for inspection of electronics assemblies and in particular PCBs to ensure that
the quality of product leaving the production line is high and the items are built correctly and without
Our global sourcing specialists have a deep understanding of lifecycle cost analysis and regulatory
requirements. We are experienced at selecting suppliers and choose components and we take advantage of the
opportunities that the global supplier market offers. Orbittal believes that its sourcing and logistics capabilities and expertise provide a significant competitive advantage in terms of lower material costs, better quality and a seamless supply chain for our customers.
An assembly line is a manufacturing process (most of the time called a progressive assembly) in which
parts (usually interchangeable parts) are added as the semi-finished assembly moves from workstation to
workstation where the parts are added in sequence until the final assembly is produced.
In through hole assembly processes, the component leads are placed onto the board and the leads
are soldered via a wave soldering process.
The assembly of printed circuit boards is a multiple step process that includes surface mount
technology (SMT) and through hole technology. With a capacity of 18000 cph, Orbittal is an leading EMS
company providing high volume low mix and prototype.
Increase efficiency and decrease costs with Augmented Operator Advisor: Augmented reality for instant diagnosis and contactless maintenance. Augmented Operator Advisor puts real-time information at your fingertips, whenever and wherever it is needed. The custom application improves operational efficiency with augmented reality – enabling operators to superimpose the current data and virtual objects onto a cabinet, machine, or plant.
The Features of the System:
The “Smart Production Line Monitoring System” is a useful tool for manufacturing / process industries to keep track of details of production figures, working / break down status of a production assembly line, convey messages to the concern department regarding the stoppage of an assembly line.
Asset tracking is the method used to track physical assets to know the location, status, and maintenance schedule of the assets. You can track your organization’s assets real-time through barcode labels, GPS or RFID tags, handheld barcode scanners, and asset management software with RTLS Technology. Asset tracking helps in maximizing asset’s efficiency and minimizing the loss.
